Joint-Stock company Plavsk Engineering Plant "Plava" is a leading manufacturer of liquid centrifugal separators in Russia. It has the authorized capital of 2.727.000 Russian rubles and is registered in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tula under the number №267 the 6 of May, 1996.

The plant has the territory of 19 Ha. The industrial, storage and administrative premises - of 77.000 square meters. There is a autonomy boiler-house and a system of water-supply on the plant, the enterprise is situated in the immediate proximity to the motor way Moscow-Krim and the rail way.

Within last 60 years the enterprise has been specialized in the production of:

• centrifugal liquid separators - more 40 types capacity from 50 up to 30000 l/h with different degree of automation for milk purification, getting of high fat cream, milk separation into curds and whey, extraction casein and fat from whey, clearance of wine, beer, juices, wort, starch extraction;
• equipment for clearance of emulsions and suspensions for medical, microbiological, perfumery industries;
• units for milk pasteurization, cleaning and dehydration of diesel and motor oil.

During last three years 6 new types of equipment have been introduced on the plant. 5 types of the separators were modernized.

In May 1995 the plant was rewarded with the international prize for quality and technology which was handed over in Rome.

The equipment is sold not only in Russia and the CIS countries but in such countries as the USA, Spain, Greece, Czechia, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, China, Iran, Guatemala, Columbia and others. There is a large sale system. Besides the supply of the equipment the specialists of the enterprise provide:

• montage;
• putting into operation;
• service maintains;
• staff training of the clients.

The large part of the production is intended for dairy industry. They are:

• cream separators from 1000 up to 10000 l/h,
• separators-cleaners from 1000 up to 30000 l/h.

Special separators that are not produced by other Russian enterprises:

• separators for high fat cream;
• separators for whey cleaning and milk fat and casein dust;
• separators for curds;
• separators for whey cleaning.

Depending on the client demands the plant has the possibility to offer many products in different variants of execution:

• with automatic and manual sludge discharge;
• in hermetic and semi-hermetic execution;
• with different control sistems including the using of frequency converters to start up the drive of separators.

JSC "Plava" is the unique enterprise in Russia which produces separators for starch extraction and gluten condensing, for separation of free fatty acids from the glycerin water, for blood separation into plasma and form elements, for microbiological industry.

JSC "Plava", being the leading enterprise of the production of liquid centrifugal separators in Russia, continues to develop new types of products.

One of the perspective directions of the activity of JSC "Plava" is the development of the separator-bactofugeur intended to eliminate the microbes from milk. The bactofuging process ensures unchangeable quality of milk, allow making products of higher quality (pasteurized milk, dried milk, cheese) and prolonging their time of storage.

In 2006 it is planned to set into serial production:

• bactofugeur of 1,3 and 10 t/h capacity, self discharging milk cleaner capacity of 10 t/h,
• self discharging cream separator capacity of 5 t/h,
• separators with belt drive,
• separators for extraction water and mechanic admixtures from petrodraines,
• decanter centrifuges.

About 700 enterprises supply the raw materials to the plant and more the customer of its products.

In 2001 the plant has successfully passed certification on EN ISO 9000:2000, has received certificate TUV CERT confirming, that JSC "Plava" has introduced and applies the Management System of Quality in following areas: designing, development, manufacture, montage and service of separators and installations on their base. In 2003 has successfully passed re-certification of the Management System of Quality on conformity to requirements EN ISO 9001:2000.
